His Excellency Smirat Revisits His Memories as Part of the "Graduate Story" Series

​The University of Jordan welcomed His Excellency Eng. Sami Smirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, as a distinguished guest as part of the "Graduate Story" series organized by the International Program, Alumni & Marketing Unit. The session was attended by Prof. Basel Mahafzah, Dean of the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, Prof. Zaid Obeidat, Director of the Unit, the vice deans, and members of the academic and administrative staff, along with students from various disciplines​.


His Excellency expressed his heartfelt emotions upon returning to the campus, recalling cherished memories from his university days starting in 1988—moments he described as instrumental in shaping his personal and professional journey.

Eng. Smirat encouraged students to fully engage in university life, develop practical skills, and take advantage of training opportunities offered by the university, the Ministry, and international organizations. He emphasized the importance of innovation and proactively seeking opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including leading global companies.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion with students on future skills, job market needs, and the role of the digital economy in empowering youth.
