His Excellency the President of the University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Nathir Obeidat, honored a select group of the university's distinguished alumni on the sidelines of the 60th graduation ceremony.
This recognition comes in appreciation of the achievements of graduates who have excelled in their academic and professional fields, contributed significantly to community service, and elevated the name of the University of Jordan both locally and internationally. These individuals embody the academic values and excellence the university stands for.
The list of honorees included:
- Dr. Omar Al-Shoubaki – Consultant in plastic, reconstructive, burn, and laser surgery / Faculty of Medicine.
- Dr. Radi Al-Masri – Honorary professor at the University of Maryland – School of Dentistry / Faculty of Dentistry.
- Eng. Abdul Wahab Al-Rawad – CEO of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company / Faculty of Engineering.
- Eng. Hassan Abdullah – General Manager of the Jordan Electric Power Company / Faculty of Engineering.
- Rami Al-Sabbarini – General Manager of Jordan River Pharmaceutical Industries Company / Faculty of Pharmacy.
- Rana Abu Zaid – A graduate of the first cohort of the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, currently General Manager of Al Alam Investment Company for Development and Technology.
- Judge Dr. Nihad Abdul Karim Al-Hasban – Member of the Jordanian Judicial Council and Chief Judge of the Amman Court of First Instance / Faculty of Law.
- Professor Joseph Farhat – Assistant Professor at Central Connecticut State University – USA / Faculty of Business.
- Khaled Dalal – Former Director of the Media Department at the Royal Court, advisor to His Majesty the King, and columnist at Al-Ghad newspaper / Faculty of Foreign Languages.
- Dr. Nihad Al-Bateekhi – Former Director of the Center for Development and Community Service and a long-time supporter of the Faculty of Sports Science.
- Dr. Khawla Al-Noubani – The first Jordanian woman appointed to the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, and founder & General Manager of Arfaq Financial Consultancy and Training Company / Faculty of Sharia.
- Islam Jaddou' – The first Jordanian woman from the deaf community to earn a PhD in Special Education / Faculty of Educational Sciences
