The International Program, Alumni & Marketing Unit at the University of Jordan hosted Grand Mufti of Jordan, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasanat, as part of its “Graduate Story” series, with the attendance of Unit Director Dr. Zaid Obeidat and Dean of the Faculty of Sharia Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Kilani.
Dr. Al-Hasanat shared highlights from his academic and professional journey, recalling his years at the University of Jordan where he completed his master’s and PhD degrees in Islamic Jurisprudence and Foundations. He emphasized the profound impact of his professors on shaping his scholarly path, which eventually led him to head the General Iftaa Department.
He encouraged students to be sincere, committed, and purposeful in their pursuit of knowledge, noting that university education is the beginning of the journey, not its end.
Dr. Al-Kilani expressed the faculty’s pride in hosting one of its distinguished graduates, describing Dr. Al-Hasanat as a model of excellence in scholarship, practice, and service to the community.
