The Archaeology Museum

Since its establishment in 1962, the museum has accumulated artifacts covering the various archaeological periods from the Stone Ages to the Mamluk periods. The majority of these objects came as a result of the field activities of the University Department of Archaeology and as a permanent loan from the Department of Antiquities.

At the same time, the museum plays an essential role in the field of conservation and maintenance. Besides, it facilitates the archaeological excavations. It includes also a Photography Unit and some courses are taught in the museum itself.
