It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the website of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Jordan. The main mission of the Faculty has been, and remains, to coordinate and upgrade policies and procedures of graduate programs offered by all colleges of the University. In keeping with the University's mission, we are strongly committed to excellence and will make continuous efforts to make our graduate programs relevant to the changing needs and challenges of our society and our world. With the support of the University Administration and commitment of our faculty members who are among the most outstanding scholars in the region, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will enhance the quality and relevance of graduate education and research.

The accomplishments of the successive deans of this Faculty are appreciated. We will continue to take measures necessary for ensuring the academic quality of graduate programs and providing more supportive environments for both faculty and students. And we will emphasize the basic principles on which graduate studies are founded: active and ongoing professional interaction of faculty and students, scholarly inquiry, high standards and values of professional behavior, and striving for excellence.

To achieve that, we will: (1) upgrade graduate academic policies and programs to encourage the colleges to match international standards of best practices in graduate studies, (2) collaborate with colleges and academic departments to provide better experiences for students to develop their professional values and research skills (3) upgrade the regulations related to scholarships to our graduate students, (4) upgrade application, admission, and graduation procedures and conditions to make them aligned with the policies and directions of the University and the Council of Higher Education, (5)  revise study plans as necessary and encourage better standards of performance across all graduate programs,  and (6) encourage and support distinguished research conducted by our graduate students, particularly that contributing to development of local communities.
