The Royal Decree for the establishment of the Faculty of Pharmacy (FP) at the University of Jordan was issued in 1980. Academic instruction began in the academic year 1980/1981.

Currently, the number of students' enrollment is 1585 on the graduate level, and 82 on the postgraduate one. The academic staff members are 50.
