The Department was reestablished in the academic year 2002/2003. It has 15 faculty members specialized in the areas of Acarology, Entomology, Plant Pathology (Bacteriology, Mycology, Nematology and Virology) and Weed Science. The department's mission is to understand and improve plant health through education, research and extension.
