The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences has the following facilities, which are devoted to teaching and research:

Archaeology Museum

Since its establishment in 1962, the Museum has accumulated holdings representing archaeological ages. Its acquisitions include different pieces of antiquities which the Museum preserves, conserves and renovates. The objects are displayed in a chronological order starting from the Stone Ages and have been gathered mainly from the Department of Antiquities and the University Department of Archaeology digs and excavations. In addition, some pieces were purchased or offered as gifts. At the same time, the Museum plays an educational role, since it is used as a training vehicle for students from the Department of Archaeology.

Folklore Museum

The Museum was established in 1980, with the objective of preserving Jordan's folkloric heritage. It houses items representing the evolution of life in Jordan during different periods and illustrates the life style of the Jordanian communities in the villages and the Badia before the spread of western patterns of life in the region. At the same time, the acquisitions reveal the individual's ability to face natural challenges and are arranged according to function. On permanent display at the Museum are agricultural instruments, domestic tools, weaponry, costumes, clothing, ornaments, farming and folklore medicine.

Geography Labs

The Geography Labs house instrumentation and analysis facilities that serve teaching and research purposes. This includes a Map Lab; Aerial Photo and Satellite Images Lab; Surveying, Soil, Geomorphology, Hydrology and Climatology Field Instruments, in addition to a GIS Lab.

Psychology lab

The Psychology Lab was established with the aim of training senior psychology students on administering IQ and personality tests. Also, the Lab provides students with necessary instruments for experiment psycho phenomena. It supplies the Department with video cassettes that facilitate teaching.

Community Development Program

The Community Development Program was established in April 2001 to render community service to the area and to promote the health and overall living standard of citizens.
