The Enivorement Pretection/Recycling Project
The project aims to raise students’ awareness and develop their knowledge in relation to environment protection through promoting a recycling project at the University. An awareness strategy for university students about the project & the role of students in protecting the community from pollution will be emphasized and extended through this project. A recycling project of papers is implemented in the University for many years; additionally, aluminum recycling has just started. This project will be expanded and extended to improve the awareness of faculty members, employees and students to be more sensitive to preserving their environment and protect it from pollution.
The Human Rights Project
Carrying out specialized training programs regarding human rights issues, children, and women rights, and the ideal acting to apply and protect such rights. This project is done with the cooperation of the National Center for Human Rights.
The Friend Project
Trains the university students on communication skills with children who suffer from social and economic problems inside and out side the institutions. Also it enables the students to communicate and build friendly relationships with children who suffer from social and economic problems; this project is done with the cooperation of the Quest Scope project.
AIDS Awareness and Protection Project
Train students to work in the field of Aids prevention and raising awareness among youth to prevent the spread of AIDS in Jordan, this project is done with the cooperation of the MOH and the IMPACT project.
The Youth and Democracy Project
Activate students' participation in the political and social processes of the society through raising their awareness of dialogue and democracy issues, practices and their right to choose, by carrying out practical programs and visiting national institutions, and carrying out dialogues with officials.
The Students to Students Project
The main idea behind the project came from the students, in which students help each others at the academic level, and work to exchange experience of the students themselves to their colleagues in various educational and training subjects such as languages, technical drawing, computer skills, speaking difficulties, training portage course for early intervention, life skills, and first aids.
Smiles Planters Project
Providing psychological, social and educational care as humanitarian services for elderly and orphans social institutions, such as the elderly, orphans, and the handicapped through weekly visits.
Jordanian Minds Project
This program is based upon the idea of solidarity among society members. Some students will volunteer to teach information technology, and/ or English language to some school students in remote and less advantaged areas in Jordan, in addition to assisting some organizations to use information technology. This program works in two ways; helping the university students to be in touch with the community, and sharing the various responsibilities, also it develops technology awareness and foreign language skills among young students.
Blood Donation
The office encourages students to donate blood as a service to the community.
Following up on Queen Rania's Projects
The office follows up on Queen Rania's visits by preparing detailed reports about the voluntary projects her majesty sponsors.
Quran Reciting
his project aims to teach students how to recite the holy Quran and to explain its meanings.
Sign Language Project
The community service office in cooperation with the Deanship Students’ Affairs carries out a program for teaching sign language to enable students to communicate with deaf individuals.
Health Awareness Project
Offers various training program and lecture courses' concerning health matters, such as reproductive healthy life style, this project is done with the cooperation of the UNFPA.
Youth and Scientific Research Project
This project is carried through the community service office with the aim of developing the students’ knowledge and skills in conducting scientific research; the students will be trained through workshops. During training the students will implement the theoretical knowledge to carry out research concerning society’s problems. The workshops will be held by the guidance of COS director and other interested faculty members.
The Friends of Cancer Patients Project
Provide humanitarian services for children suffering from cancer.
The Prevention of Domestic Violence Project
This project aims to raise students, in awareness to in relate to prevent violence in the community.
Nervous Linguistic Programming
The study of how human brain works, and the mental connection and its relation with individuals life style, and the ideal way to benefit from mental energy of human in many different life aspects.
The A Sonbolah Project
A Project of aims to Collect and organize clothes, shoes and other supplies of people, utilizing to individuals in need and Charities associations.
The Youth Leadership Project
In this project the students are trained with the cooperation of the UNU – IlI in Jordan course was organized jointly by UNU-ILI and the in which the course was divided into three modules: leadership and media; leadership in culture and society; and leadership in economics the students we asked to prepare projects to help towards a better changing in the community.
The Civic Education Project
The Community Service Center at the University of Jordan with the cooperation of the Jordanian Center for Civic Education Studies. This project aims to introduce students and to educate them in the methods and procedures used in the political process. The goal of the program is to develop the students, commitment to active citizenship , enhance their skills , and deepen their understanding of how people can work together to make their communities better.
