The University of Jordan | Amman | Jordan | Day Care Center (Nursery & Kindergarten)

In October 1992, Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal inaugurated the Day Care Center (Nursery) within the premises of the University. Established with the help of the Queen Alia’ Fund, the Center aims at providing children of working mothers with the proper physical, emotional, and psychological care they need in the absence of their mothers.

Presently, the Day Care Center (Nursery) is rendering services to children within the pre-school age group of (58) days - (3,8) years. Well-trained supervisors are taking care of the children enrolled at the Center. The Center is open from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and collects nominal fees.

In 1999, the Day Care Center was affiliated with a kindergarten comprising two classes (KG1 and KG2). The physical, socio-emotional and intellectual development of young children takes place through training, play, manipulating, touching, exploring, testing, and physical activities.

The Center is equipped with a television and a video set where children’s educational films are screened. An outdoor playground surrounds the premises. In addition, the Center houses indoor games and sport and recreational facilities.
