Prof. Shaher Momani Joins Thomson Reuters’s Highly Cited Researchers List
The Center for World-Class Universities (CWCU) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the Highly Cited Researcher team at Thomson Reuters announced that Shaher Momani, Professor of Mathematics at The University of Jordan (UJ), has been selected into the preliminary list of ‘Highly Cited Researchers’.
According to the Thomson Reuters website, this Highly Cited Research resource captures the people behind the most influential publications in 21 broad subject categories in life sciences, medicine, physical sciences, engineering and social sciences based on citation metrics. Within their category, these individuals represent less than one-half of one percent of all publishing researchers—truly an extraordinary accomplishment.
Since 2003, the CWCU has published the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Several indicators in this ranking use data from Thomson Reuters, including the number of Highly Cited Researchers affiliated with a university.
