His Majesty King Abdullah has honored the University of Jordan (UJ) Professor Shaher Momani for his remarkable achievements in mathematics along with prominent Jordanian scientists from other fields.
The honoring took place on the inaugural session of the World Science Forum 2017, which His Majesty inaugurated on Tuesday, November 7th.
Prof. Momani is a leading UJ scholar, who has been at the forefront of research in the field of Fractional Calculus in two decades and is classified as one of the top ten Scientists in the World in this field for the period 2009-present, according to Thomson Reuters (Web of Knowledge).
Prof. Momani has been selected by Thomson Reuters in its prestigious list of Highly Cited Researchers in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. He is the only scientist in Jordan who has been chosen for this prestigious honor for the fourth consecutive year.
Moreover, he has been selected by Thomson Reuters in its prestigious list of The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
He is a recipient of “The Order of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein for Excellence of the Second Class” for his Academic Contributions in Scientific Research.
Recently, Prof. Momani was named, alongside two Jordanian scholars, in the list of the World's Most Impactful Scientific Researchers 2017, according to the Clarivate Analytics 2017 Highly Cited Researchers List.
According to Clarivate Analytics' website, more than 3,300 Highly Cited Researchers in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences, 130,000 papers aligned to 900 institutions were selected this year.
