The University of Jordan Hospital received the certificate of application of national goals for quality and safety of health care for 2012 for the fourth time in a row, the hospital and a number of health institutions have been honored during a special ceremony sponsored by Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein.
The General Director of the University of Jordan Hospital, Prof. Mujalli Mhailan, received the accreditation certificate and said: our hospital pay attention to participate in this important event that organized by the Accreditation Council for health institutions annually; to serve patients as well as protect the environment and our health institutions, in addition, we always keen to implement it in order to excel in services at all levels.
The national goals logo for 2012 was (our patients with safe hands), these national goals aim to improve the quality of health services as well as promote good practices; to avoid medical errors in all hospitals.
This certificate showed the practical application of UJ’s Hospital to reduce the exposure of threats, the appropriate use of preventive antibiotics in surgical operations, and reducing the risk of urinary tract infections caused by a urinary catheter.
The University of Jordan hospital will implement the national goals for 2013 that based on improving pain management, implementing the process of matching medicines, and rejecting violence in the work environment.
