A delegation from Saudi universities today visited UJ and had a look at the academic and the educational practice at the University.
During the visit, the delegation listened to an explanation by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Nail Al Shura'a on the beginnings of the University and its educational history as well as currently offered disciplines and programs, noting that the University is marking the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
In a related development, Dr. Al Shura'a noted the role played by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University, represented by various offices, in the organization of several cultural and artistic activities, sports and extracurricular activities, to highlight the talents of students and develop their creativity.
Dr. Al Shura'a referred that there is a specialized department at the deanship dedicated to providing academic and social environment for international students to help them facilitate their affairs at the University.
In turn, head of the delegation, President of the World Federation of Muslim Scouts Dr. Zuhair Ghoneim said: "the purpose of the visit is to inform the guests about the experience and teaching methods of the University, and aims to promote cultural exchange programs between Saudi universities and the University of Jordan."
The delegation included (50) students and professors from seven Saudi universities are the King Saud University, Al Baha'a University, University Hail, Taibah University, and the University of Naran, University of Jizzan, and the University of Northern Borders.
At the end of the visit the delegation toured at the University library, and Archaeological Museum, and expressed impression of the University of Jordan.
